Shortland Street Production Runner

Three years ago, Aaron Levi completed a National Certificate in Screen and Performing Arts at BEST Pacific Institute of Education.  He was interested in the "behind the scenes" or production aspect of the programme.  "When I finished the course, it took me a while to get into this line of work, but my success was a combination of networking and being in the right place at the right time."

Aaron began as a Runner at AB Productions for a TV show for 4 months.  From there he was asked to do "Shortland Street" as Locations PA, as well as Production Officer for "The Amazing Race".  After working as a Production Runner, Camera Assistant and Locations PA in the same show, he was offered a fulltime position at Shortland Street.

"It always pays to do a good job for the first time round as people in this industry will always remember if you did or not.  Not all jobs are advertised either, so doing a job well means you will always get called back."
